I don’t even know what’s going on anymore. When I think about the overwhelming number of strange coincidences and synchronicities that have been cropping up in my life lately it sends me into full body goosebumps. Shit gets weird when you start trying to track the movement of distinct phrases and novel patterns of thought between seemingly isolated social ecosystems. When you start building profiles in your head for expected vocabulary and phrasing of people you spend a lot of time with, you can usually distinguish between recently “borrowed” ideas and self-generated ideas. But then the rationalist in me chimes in and says that with the level of interconnection and information saturation that we’ve achieved, it’s kinda inevitable that information that grabs your attention will probably grab someone else’s attention and next thing you know our technology has facilitated the rapid propagation of that information and someone you know receives it from one of the multitude of channels that we’re all connected to nearly 24/7.
Either way, whether it’s synchronicity or just a symptom of the information age, information flow = neat, life = neat, technology = neat. It’s a cool time to be alive, folks.
